European Fertiliser Blenders Association
EFBA aims to develop scientific knowledge in the field of plant nutrition and in particular the use of blended fertilisers at European level.
On the way to ecologically and economically optimised fertilisation, we want targeted and sustainable nutrition for our crops.
The idea of environmentally friendly soil and plant nutrition in the form of precisely formulated fertiliser blends should become more widespread in Europe.
The production of and trade in fertiliser blends is monitored with regard to Technical, Legal and Political issues.
The transfer into practice is largely implemented by the private companies and cooperatives that are members of EFBA through their national associations.
EFBA observes the market for fertilisers in Europe and raises regulatory issues with the authorities.
Representatives of EFBA meet in person once a year at the Annual General Meeting.
This is supported by quarterly meetings, to enable progress on issues to its members throughout the year.
EFBA’s most recent Annual General Meeting was hosted by AIF (Associazione Italiana Fertilizzanti) in Bologna.
Before the AGM proceedings, members visited Ravenna and were showing around the Italterminal.
