Determining the hardness of a fertiliser granule is essential for ensuring accurate spreading of the fertiliser on the field.
This cannot be guaranteed if the fertiliser granule cannot withstand the mechanical stress caused by handling and application with the centrifugal spreader, resulting in excessive dust formation.
The hardness of the granules can be determined using a rapid testing device.

Shaking sieves enable representative sampling to provide specific information about the granulometry of fertilisers and fertiliser blends. This means that, once the possible spreading widths have been determined, they also help with the precise application of fertilisers.
A coordinated grain spectrum of the components of fertiliser blends optimises the distribution accuracy in the field.
